Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago, IL, hosted a special Easter celebration on Saturday night with a Resurrection Matins followed by the Divine Liturgy.
The evening began with a traditional three-time procession around the Cathedral, symbolizing Christ’s victory over death. Led by the Cathedral clergy, the Matins service was a solemn occasion filled with prayer and reflection.
Rev. Nikolaj Kostur, who served the Divine Liturgy, remarked, “This Easter celebration is a time for us to come together as a community and rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ. It is a reminder of the hope and renewal that He brings to our lives.”
The Divine Liturgy, led by Rev. Kostur, concluded around 2:00 am, leaving attendees with a renewed sense of hope and faith as they departed the Cathedral.
