Holy Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen
With joy and thanksgiving to God, we invite you to join us in the celebration of the Patron Saint (Slava) of the Republic of Srpska — the Holy Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen, a witness of faith, truth, and sacrificial love for Christ.
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, the faithful will gather at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicagofor prayer and fellowship, giving thanks to God for the gift of faith, freedom, and the enduring spiritual and historical heritage of our people.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the Slava bread will be blessed, after which all are invited to a Slava banquet and cultural program, offering an opportunity to come together in brotherly love and unity around our shared spiritual and national values.
May the prayers of Saint Archdeacon Stephen strengthen us in faith, peace, and unity.
