As we enter the Nativity Fast, and in the spirit of Thanksgiving and Christ’s command to love our neighbor, the Cathedral clergy, Youth Group, Church School, and their families gathered this morning to serve at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg.
Together, our volunteers packed meal packages that will be distributed to starving and malnourished children throughout the world. It is heartbreaking to realize that more than 45 million children globally suffer from severe malnutrition, a condition that deeply hinders their physical, mental, and emotional development.
Through prayer, sacrifice, and action, our community responded with love. We are deeply grateful to everyone who rose early to give their time and energy for the sake of others. More than 125 volunteers from our Cathedral packed an extraordinary 64,800 meals in just one morning.
May the Lord bless all who participated, and may this work of mercy strengthen us spiritually as we journey through the Nativity Fast—learning again that in giving, we ourselves are renewed.

На почетку Божићног поста, и у духу празника Благодарења и хришћанске љубави према ближњима, свештенство Саборног храма, наша омладина, Црквена школа и њихове породице окупили су се јутрос да служе у организацији Feed My Starving Children у Шамбургу.
Заједно смо паковали оброке намењене гладној и неухрањеној деци широм света. Тужно је сазнање да данас у свету живи више од 45 милиона деце која пате од тешке неухрањености, што озбиљно угрожава њихов правилан раст и развој.
Кроз труд, жртву и молитву, наша заједница је одговорила делатном љубављу. Благодарни смо свима који су рано устали и радосно дошли да помогну. Преко 125 волонтера из наше парохије спаковало је чак 64.800 оброка у једном јутру.
Нека Господ благослови све који су учествовали у овом делу милосрђа, и нека нас овај труд духовно укрепи на путу ка радосном празнику Рођења Христовог.
