On October 13, 2024, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije presided over the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy and the ordination of Archimandrite Seraphim as Bishop of Kostajnica at the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade. This special occasion marked the elevation of Bishop Seraphim to his new role as Vicar of the Metropolitan of Midwestern America.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of numerous hierarchs, including Archbishops Peter of Chicago and Mid-America and George of Wrocław and Szczecin, along with Metropolitans Longin of Midwestern America, Pahomije of Vranje, and Atanasije of Mileševa. Bishops Isihije of Valjevo, Damaskin of Mohács, Alexei of Hvostan, Ilarion of Novo Brdo, Peter of Toplica, Nikon of Jenopolje, and Paisios of Diokleia also participated in the solemn service.
