What a beautiful day of unity, remembrance, and purpose!
The Marko Niketić Foundation 5K Walk/Run brought together an amazing turnout of participants, families, and friends — all walking in love and support of a meaningful cause.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Grace Bishop Serafim, the clergy, sponsors, donors, and dedicated volunteers who made this event possible. It was truly uplifting to see so many youth take part and honor the memory of one of their own.
This year, the Niketić family directed all proceeds to benefit the Building Fund for the St. Mardarije Spiritual & Cultural Center at St. Sava Monastery. Their generosity ensures that Marko’s legacy continues to inspire acts of faith, compassion, and service within our community.
Marko was a beloved youth from our parish and a friend to many. The Foundation established in his name works to help those in need, raise awareness about the dangers of reckless and impaired driving, and support ongoing projects that strengthen our Orthodox faith and community life.
We are overjoyed to announce that this year’s event raised more than $22,500!
Thank you to everyone who joined us — every prayer, every step, and every act of giving made a difference. Together, we honor Marko’s memory and contribute to the growth of our beloved St. Sava Monastery.
