This year’s Kotlićijada brought together our community in an unforgettable celebration of tradition, friendship, and culinary skill. The event was filled with joy, laughter, and the delicious aroma of kotlić cooking that filled the air as teams competed for top honors.
A total of 26 teams joined the gathering, with 19 officially competing and 111 registered participants. Nearly 800 people attended, making this one of the largest and most spirited Kotlićijadas to date.
🥇 1st Place – UKUS ZAVIČAJA (chosen by the jury)
🥈 2nd Place – BOSANSKI MEDJEDI (voted by the people through tasting)
🥉 3rd Place – PORIJEKLO (voted by the people through tasting)
The jury carefully evaluated the flavors, authenticity, and presentation to determine the first-place winner, while those who attended and tasted the dishes had the honor of voting for the second and third-place prizes.
We extend heartfelt thanks to all the participants, volunteers, and guests who made this day so special. In particular, we thank the parishioners of Holy Resurrection of Palmer Square and St. Nicholas of Lyons, IL, as well as Damjan Dikanović, Executive Board member, for taking the lead in organizing this year’s Kotlićijada.
Kotlićijada 2025 was more than just a competition—it was a true reflection of our heritage, unity, and joy in being together. We look forward to building on this success and welcoming even more teams and guests next year!
