A Day of Prayer, Fellowship, and Service
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, our Cathedral was honored to welcome His Grace Bishop Serafim, who prayerfully celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago.
The service was marked by a spirit of reverence and unity, as clergy, faithful, and youth gathered to receive the Bishop’s blessing and to offer prayers for the Marko Niketić Foundation 5K Walk/Run that followed later that afternoon.
In his heartfelt homily, Bishop Serafim reflected on the meaning of Christian love, community, and remembrance — calling all present to live their faith through service, compassion, and gratitude. His words inspired many as the faithful prepared to continue the day’s fellowship through charitable action.
Following the Liturgy, Bishop Serafim joined parishioners and participants at the 5K Walk/Run, lending his prayerful support and blessing to all involved in this special event. His presence was a profound reminder that every act of giving, no matter how small, becomes part of a greater offering of love in Christ.
We express our deepest gratitude to His Grace Bishop Serafim for his pastoral care, inspiring sermon, and constant encouragement of our parish community.
May God grant him many years of strength and grace in his ministry!
