As we prepare for the joyous celebration of Christ’s Nativity, our parishioners came together today to cut badnjakbranches, which will be blessed and distributed to our faithful during the Christmas Eve services.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in this cherished tradition, and a special thank you to Rade Petrovic for graciously allowing us to gather the branches from his property.

The badnjak, an oak branch, holds deep spiritual significance. It symbolizes the tree that the shepherds brought to warm the cave where Christ was born, reminding us of the warmth and light of His love that fills our homes and hearts during this holy season.

May this time of preparation bring peace, joy, and blessings to all as we eagerly await the celebration of our Savior’s birth.
