Nativity of Christ Celebrated at Our Cathedral

Nativity of Christ Celebrated at Our Cathedral

Our Cathedral joyfully celebrated the great and saving Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy presided over by Metropolitan Longin. Cathedral was filled with the faithful who gathered in prayer, thanksgiving, and spiritual joy to proclaim the mystery of God’s Incarnation and the birth of Christ in Bethlehem.

The liturgical celebration was marked by reverence, beauty, and deep spiritual warmth, as the Church once again announced the good news of salvation: that God has come into the world for the life of the world. In his words to the faithful, His Eminence reflected on the meaning of the Nativity as a feast of humility, peace, and divine love—calling all to renew their faith and to live the joy of Christ’s birth in their daily lives.

Serving alongside His Eminence were the Cathedral clergy, as well as guest priests V. Rev. Luka Novaković of New Jersey and Rev. Miloš Balaban, uniting the assembly in worship and thanksgiving. The responses of our Cathedral Choir, offered with devotion, enriched the liturgical beauty and echoed the hymn of the angels: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Longin addressed the faithful with warm Nativity greetings, expressing gratitude for the gathered community and offering blessings for peace, unity, and spiritual growth in the year ahead.

May the joy and light of Christ’s Nativity remain ever present in our hearts and homes.
